Question 1

What exactly is TradeTether?

Accepted Answer

TradeTether is a peer-to-peer desk for buying and selling USDT against Indian rupees. You place an order at a published rate, pay (or receive) through a normal Indian payment rail like UPI or IMPS, and the USDT moves on-chain to or from your own wallet. There is no order book, no leverage and no hidden spread — one rate, one fee sheet, one human desk reviewing every settlement.

Question 2

Do you hold my crypto or my money?

Accepted Answer

No. TradeTether is non-custodial by design. When you buy, USDT is sent straight from our treasury to the wallet address you supply — we never open a wallet in your name. When you sell, you send USDT from your own wallet and we push rupees to your bank or UPI. There is no balance sitting on the platform, so there is nothing for us to freeze, lend out or lose.

Question 3

Do I need an account to trade?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An account gives every order a reference number, an audit trail and a private chat thread with the desk. Sign-up needs only your name, email and mobile number — documents are optional and only affect fees.

Question 4

What is the minimum and maximum order size?

Accepted Answer

Small orders are welcome — you can start with a few thousand rupees. Upper limits depend on the rail you choose and whether you are verified: unverified accounts are capped at a lower daily ceiling, and large tickets are settled in tranches so both sides stay protected. The checkout screen always shows the live limit for the rail you selected before you commit.

Question 5

How long does a full trade take?

Accepted Answer

Most orders settle within 5–20 minutes end to end. The clock starts when your payment proof lands, not when you open the order. Delays almost always come from bank-side rail outages, a mismatched UTR, or a wallet address that needs a second confirmation from you.

Question 6

What are your working hours?

Accepted Answer

The desk runs 24/7, including weekends. Bank rails, however, do not — IMPS and UPI can go into scheduled maintenance windows late at night, and CDM deposits depend on branch/machine availability. If a rail is down, the checkout hides it rather than letting you start an order that cannot settle.

Question 7

Walk me through buying USDT, step by step.

Accepted Answer

1) Enter the amount you want to buy and pick your payment method. 2) Choose the chain you want delivery on and paste your wallet address. 3) We create the order and show you exactly where to pay — UPI QR, bank details, card or CDM instructions. 4) Pay from your own account and upload the proof plus the UTR/reference. 5) The order chat opens; the desk verifies the credit and releases USDT to your address, and you get the on-chain hash in the same thread.

Question 8

Why do I have to upload payment proof and a UTR?

Accepted Answer

Bank credits do not carry your order number. The UTR and screenshot are what let the desk match a rupee credit to your specific order within minutes instead of waiting on a statement reconciliation. It also protects you: if a payment lands late or under the wrong name, the proof is your evidence that you paid on time.

Question 9

What happens if I enter the wrong wallet address?

Accepted Answer

Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Once USDT is sent to the address you provided, nobody — not us, not the network — can pull it back. That is why the checkout validates the address format for the chain you picked, shows it back to you in full, and asks you to confirm before release. Always paste the address rather than typing it, and check the first and last six characters.

Question 10

Can I pay from someone else's bank account?

Accepted Answer

No. The paying account must match the account holder on your TradeTether profile. Third-party payments are a classic money-laundering and fraud pattern, and banks reverse them aggressively. If a credit arrives from an unrelated account the order is held and the money is returned to source, not converted.

Question 11

I paid but haven't received my USDT. What now?

Accepted Answer

Open the order and send the UTR in the chat — the desk replies in the same thread, usually within minutes. Nine times out of ten it is a rail lag or a UTR that hasn't reflected yet. Your money is never stranded: if the credit cannot be confirmed, the full amount goes back to the account it came from.

Question 12

Can I cancel a buy order after creating it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time before you pay — just leave it or tell the desk in the chat and it expires. After payment, cancellation becomes a refund: we return the rupees to the originating account minus any rail charges actually incurred. Once USDT has been released on-chain, the trade is final.

Question 13

I paid a different amount than the order. Is that a problem?

Accepted Answer

It is fixable but it slows things down. If you underpay, the desk either recalculates the USDT at the same locked rate or asks for the balance. If you overpay, the surplus is refunded to source. Rounding your transfer to a neat figure is the single most common cause of a delayed order — pay the exact amount shown.

Question 14

How does selling USDT work?

Accepted Answer

Enter the amount, tell us where you want the rupees (UPI ID or bank account), pick the chain, then send the USDT to the deposit address shown. Paste the transaction ID (TXID) into the order and the desk confirms it on-chain. Once it has the required confirmations, the payout is pushed to your rail and the reference appears in the order chat.

Question 15

Why is the TXID mandatory when I sell?

Accepted Answer

The TXID is the only way to tie a specific on-chain transfer to your order instantly. Deposit addresses receive traffic constantly; without the hash the desk would have to guess which transfer is yours. Pasting it turns a manual hunt into a one-second lookup — that is the difference between a 5-minute and a 45-minute payout.

Question 16

When do I get my rupees?

Accepted Answer

Once your deposit hits the required confirmations, the payout goes out on the next rail cycle — typically minutes on UPI and IMPS. Bank end-of-day windows, NEFT batching and rail maintenance can add time. The payout reference is always posted in your order chat, so you can trace it with your bank.

Question 17

I entered the wrong UPI ID or account number. Can it be fixed?

Accepted Answer

If the payout has not gone out yet, tell the desk in the order chat and the details are corrected on the spot. If it has already been sent, we raise a recall with the bank — success depends on the receiving bank and is never guaranteed. Payout details must also be in your own name; we do not pay out to third parties.

Question 18

Does the payout account have to be in my name?

Accepted Answer

Yes, without exception. Name-matched payouts are what keep the desk compliant and what protects you from someone else redirecting your money. If the account name does not match your profile, the payout is held until it is corrected.

Question 19

I sent USDT on the wrong network. Is it gone?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily, but do not send anything else. Post the TXID and the chain you actually used in the order chat immediately. If the deposit address exists on that chain and we control the key, recovery is usually possible and may carry a network-cost deduction. If it landed on a chain we do not support, recovery is generally impossible.

Question 20

How is the rate set, and is it the same for everyone?

Accepted Answer

One published rate, same for every customer, quoted separately for buy and sell and per rail (UPI and IMPS can differ because their settlement costs differ). It tracks the live USDT/INR market plus the desk's operating margin. You see the exact rate before you commit and it is locked into your order — the market moving afterwards does not change what you pay.

Question 21

What fees do I actually pay?

Accepted Answer

A flat platform fee of 0.1% on every transaction, plus the actual network fee for the chain you chose on buys. If you are not KYC-verified there is an additional surcharge: a flat $5 on trades under $1,000, or 1% on trades of $1,000 and above. Every one of these lines is itemised on the order breakdown before you confirm — there is no separate spread hidden inside the rate.

Question 22

Why is there a non-KYC surcharge?

Accepted Answer

Unverified orders carry more risk and more manual review, and that cost has to sit somewhere. Rather than raising prices for everyone, it sits with the orders that create it. Complete verification once and the surcharge disappears permanently on every future trade.

Question 23

Your rate looks different from Binance or Google. Why?

Accepted Answer

Google shows a global USD-pegged reference, not an INR P2P rate. Binance P2P shows an advertiser's ask, before their payment risk, their limits, and the time you spend chasing them. Our rate already includes settlement cost and a desk that answers instantly — compare landed cost per rupee, not headline numbers.

Question 24

Is my rate locked, and for how long?

Accepted Answer

The rate is locked the moment the order is created and holds for the payment window shown on the order. Pay within that window and you get exactly the quoted figure. If the window lapses before payment, the order re-quotes at the current rate — up or down.

Question 25

Who pays the blockchain network fee?

Accepted Answer

On buys, the network fee for delivering USDT to your wallet is shown as its own line and is passed through at cost — we do not mark it up. It varies by chain, which is why picking TRC20 or BEP20 over ERC20 can save you a meaningful amount on smaller tickets.

Question 26

Are there any hidden charges at all?

Accepted Answer

No. What appears on the order breakdown — rate, fiat amount, network fee, platform fee, non-KYC fee where applicable — is the complete list. There is no withdrawal fee, no account fee, no inactivity fee and no charge for using the order chat or support.

Question 27

Which payment methods can I use?

Accepted Answer

UPI and bank transfer (IMPS/NEFT/RTGS) share one rail and work for both buying and selling. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay) is available for buying, and CDM (cash deposit machine) works both ways. Every rail carries its own published buy and sell rate on the homepage, so you can pick on price as well as convenience.

Question 28

Can I buy USDT with a credit card, and what is the 1% TDS offer?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can buy USDT with a Visa, Mastercard or RuPay credit card at the same live desk rate as UPI and bank transfer. As an early bird offer for card buyers we are waiving the 1% TDS on credit card purchases for a limited period, so you pay the quoted rate with no extra deduction. Credit card is buy-only; sell payouts settle to UPI or bank transfer.

Question 29

Why does the rate differ between UPI, bank, card and CDM?

Accepted Answer

Each rail costs us a different amount to operate and carries different reversal risk. Cash-based rails involve handling and deposit costs; instant digital rails do not. Rather than blending everything into one average, each rail is priced on its own economics, so the cheapest option is always visible.

Question 30

A payment method is greyed out or missing. Why?

Accepted Answer

Rails are toggled off when the underlying network is in maintenance, when a bank is having a settlement issue, or when that rail has hit its capacity for the session. It reappears automatically once it is safe to use. Nothing is wrong with your account.

Question 31

How does CDM actually work?

Accepted Answer

You deposit cash into the account shown at a cash deposit machine and upload the slip. The deposit slip or receipt is required as proof, and deposits are name-matched — deposits from unidentifiable sources are returned.

Question 32

The bank details changed since my last order. Is that normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you should expect it. Settlement accounts rotate for operational and compliance reasons. Always use the details shown inside the current order — never reuse details from an old order, an old screenshot, or anything sent to you outside the platform.

Question 33

Is KYC mandatory?

Accepted Answer

Not to start trading. You can transact without verification at lower limits and with the non-KYC surcharge applied. Verification becomes required above the unverified threshold, and it removes the surcharge — most regular customers complete it once and forget about it.

Question 34

What documents do you collect for KYC?

Accepted Answer

Your legal name, mobile number and address, plus your PAN and Aadhaar numbers with a clear image of each document. That is the complete list — we do not ask for bank passwords, OTPs, selfies holding cash, or access to your wallet.

Question 35

How long does verification take?

Accepted Answer

Submissions are reviewed by a person, typically the same day. You get an email the moment the decision is made — approved or declined with the reason — and your account status updates immediately.

Question 36

My KYC was declined. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

The decline email states the reason — usually an unreadable image, a name that does not match the document, or a mismatch between the PAN and Aadhaar details. Fix that specific item and resubmit; there is no penalty and no waiting period for resubmission.

Question 37

How is my KYC data stored and who can see it?

Accepted Answer

Documents live in encrypted storage with row-level access rules — they are readable only by you and the verification desk, never by other users and never exposed through any public endpoint. They are used solely for identity verification and statutory obligations, and are never sold or shared for marketing.

Question 38

Do you handle tax, TDS or reporting for me?

Accepted Answer

Your tax position is yours to manage — we do not file on your behalf or give tax advice. What we do provide is a complete, timestamped record of every order with amounts, rates, fees and on-chain hashes, which is exactly what your accountant needs.

Question 39

Which blockchains do you support?

Accepted Answer

TRC20 (Tron), BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain), ERC20 (Ethereum), Polygon and Solana. All of them carry the same USDT — the network only determines the transfer cost, speed and which address format you need.

Question 40

Which network should I choose?

Accepted Answer

TRC20 and BEP20 are the workhorses — cheap, fast and accepted almost everywhere, which is why they carry most of our volume. Polygon and Solana are also low-cost and quick. ERC20 is the most expensive and only worth it if the destination platform accepts nothing else.

Question 41

How do I know my wallet supports the network I picked?

Accepted Answer

Check the deposit screen of the wallet or exchange you are sending to — it will list the networks it accepts for USDT and show the matching address. Use that exact network in your TradeTether order. Address formats differ per chain, and our checkout rejects an address that does not match the chain you selected.

Question 42

How many confirmations do you wait for?

Accepted Answer

Enough to make a reorg practically impossible on that chain — a handful of blocks on TRC20, BEP20, Polygon and Solana, more on congested Ethereum. It is usually seconds to a couple of minutes. The order chat shows the moment your deposit is confirmed.

Question 43

Why should I trust a desk I've never used before?

Accepted Answer

Because the model gives us very little room to misbehave. We never hold your balance, the rate is published before you commit, every fee is itemised, every order carries a reference number and an immutable log, and every release is provable with an on-chain hash you can verify yourself on a block explorer. You are not asked to take anything on faith — start with a small order and check the hash.

Question 44

How is my account protected?

Accepted Answer

Sign-in uses a six-digit one-time code sent to your email — no magic links to intercept. Two-factor is mandatory on any device we have not seen before, and trusted devices are remembered only if you ask. All traffic is TLS-encrypted and database access is enforced by row-level policies, so one account can never read another's data.

Question 45

What will TradeTether never ask me for?

Accepted Answer

We will never ask for your wallet seed phrase or private key, your bank or UPI PIN, an OTP sent to your phone or email, remote access to your device, or a payment to any account not shown inside your live order. Anyone asking for these is impersonating us — report it in the order chat immediately.

Question 46

Someone contacted me on Telegram/WhatsApp claiming to be TradeTether. Is it you?

Accepted Answer

Treat it as fraud until proven otherwise. Legitimate communication about an order happens inside that order's chat thread on this site. If a stranger sends you alternate bank details, offers a 'special rate', or pressures you to pay quickly outside the platform, stop and verify in your order chat.

Question 47

Is anything automated that shouldn't be?

Accepted Answer

Pricing and validation are automated; settlement is not. Every release and every payout is reviewed by a person before it goes out. That is slightly slower than a fully automatic desk and dramatically harder to exploit.

Question 48

What happens if we disagree about an order?

Accepted Answer

Every order has a full evidence trail: your proof, timestamps, the locked rate, the fee breakdown and the on-chain hash. Disputes are resolved against that record, in the order chat, in writing. If the record shows we made the error, we make it right.

Question 49

What is the order chat and who am I talking to?

Accepted Answer

Every order opens a private thread tied to its reference number. On the other side is the TradeTether desk operator handling your settlement — a real person, not a bot. You can send text and screenshots, and your payment proof is forwarded to the desk automatically the moment you upload it.

Question 50

How fast does support respond?

Accepted Answer

Order chats are watched continuously and normally answered within a few minutes. General help tickets from the help widget are picked up in around five minutes. You will see a typing indicator when the operator is composing a reply, and an alert sound if the window is minimised.

Question 51

I don't have an order yet but I have a question. Can I still reach you?

Accepted Answer

Yes — use the help button in the bottom-right corner of any page. Give your name, email, mobile and a short description of the issue, and it opens a live thread with the desk without needing an account.

Question 52

Can I see my past orders and download records?

Accepted Answer

Your dashboard lists every order with its status, rate, fees, rail, network and transaction hash. Nothing is deleted, so the trail stays available for accounting and for any future dispute.

Question 53

Do you offer better rates for large or repeat volume?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Regular high-volume customers are handled directly by the desk with negotiated pricing. Raise it in your order chat or through the help widget and the desk will set it up.
